“I’m an all-or-nothing person!” Greer laughed. “But, as a single Mum with a young daughter, I was nervous about studying full-time, so I started a short online course. While I was on holiday in Thailand, I was preparing for an exam but had more questions than answers. I realised I needed to study nutrition in-depth.

“Endeavour’s holistic degree was an obvious choice. Endeavour covers all aspects of nutrition, and the lecturers are top quality, so you go into the workforce well-prepared.”

My first class was biology, and I thought, ‘This is exactly where I’m meant to be. I didn't do science in years 11 and 12, but I was a science nerd,” Greer said.

Greer found it tough juggling parenthood and study, but she preserved and has reaped the rewards “Thankfully, I had a lot of support around me, and Endeavour’s flexible course structure meant I could study from home and still be there for my daughter.”

When Greer first started her degree, she thought about a public health career, but she enjoyed the student clinic experience, and after graduating, she went into clinical practice.

“I had also started a business with a friend creating healthy, nutritious meals and meal plans for different people,” Greer said. “During the pandemic, when clinic sessions moved online, I started looking for a new direction. I saw an ad for an F45 recipe developer, applied and landed a global role with them. It was the first time I had ever been employed by someone else in my life!”

Greer had found her nutrition niche. She noticed a tech-based nutrition start-up called Equalution in her local shire and joined their team as the lead recipe developer.

“It’s my dream job!” she said. “Because it’s a start-up, I’m always thinking on my feet. My small business experience comes in handy. But it’s also a diverse role where I use my in-depth nutrition knowledge to help across different areas, from recipe development to mentoring the team of nutrition coaches to marketing.”

With a background in competitive beach sprinting, Greer hasn’t ruled out studying sports nutrition in future. But for now, Greer loves what she does, is learning on the job and is proud that her daughter can see her enjoying her work every day.
